If you accidentally made it to mythic with a bad win rate and can't fall out if it, you'll never win another game in your life in GU. (In MTG, you get two win points for a win and lose 1 for a loss at lower ranks and at higher it is 1 and 1 BUT if you are about to drop a tier within your rank, it takes multiple losses, so you can actually win < 50% and still continuously rank up, and you can never fall out of your rank once you move up. In other games you can actually have a losing record and still make it to Mythic, so those games it is more about who is willing to grind rather than who is actually good. This is important in Gods Unchained because unlike every other card game that resets your rank monthly/weekly/seasonally, Gods Unchained never resets your rank. This system is actually way more balanced than other card games, like MTG you either gain 1 win point or lose 1 every time you win or lose, regardless of your opponents skill level. ![]() If you lose 5 games to players way higher ranked than you it's likely your shield won't break, and conversely, if you lose to players ranked way lower than you maybe 3 times, it's possible it will break. The system is based on Win/Loss points that take into account your MMR and your opponents MMR.
